Colt SIP Trunking

This guide connects a Colt SIP trunk to Live Hub. Complete the following steps:

  1. Order SIP trunking services from Colt.

  2. Create a SIP connection in Live Hub.

Order SIP trunking services from Colt

To order the service from the Colt portal:

  1. Contact Colt Sales to order SIP trunking services.

  2. Colt provides the IP address of the Colt servers and the DID numbers assigned to Live Hub. You need this information when you provision the SIP connection in Live Hub.

Create a SIP connection in Live Hub

To create the SIP connection that represents your Colt SIP trunking account:

  1. Log in to Live Hub.

  2. In the Navigation pane, select SIP connections, and then click Add new SIP connection.

  3. Select the General tab:

    1. Under the General group:

      • In the 'Name' field, enter a unique SIP connection name (for example, Colt).
      • From the 'Provider type' drop-down list, select SIP Trunk.
      • From the 'Provider' drop-down list, select Colt SIP Trunk.
  4. Select the Incoming tab:

    1. Make sure the 'Source IP address' check box is selected.
    2. Select the 'Dialed Numbers (DIDs)' check box.
    3. Click Add, and then add all the DIDs that Colt provided.
  5. Select the Outgoing tab:

    1. Under the Addresses group, click Add to create a new entry:

      • In the 'ADDRESS' field, enter the IP address of the Colt server that Colt provided.
      • In the 'PORT' field, enter 5060.
      • In the 'PROTOCOL' field, enter UDP.
  6. Click Create.
